Indie Author Application

Read Freely Fest will take place April 2–4, 2027, at Richland Library Main. Applications are now open for Indie Author Alley, which welcomes independent and self-published authors and illustrators.

Indie Author Alley will take place Saturday and Sunday. Each participant will receive four feet of table space and one chair, with the option to request a full eight-foot table for an additional fee. Please include any additional space or accommodation needs in your application.

December 4 is the deadline to apply.

  • Indie Author Alley is open to independently published and self-published authors and illustrators interested in sharing and selling their work at Read Freely Fest. Participation in Indie Author Alley is separate from the festival’s featured author programming.

  • Read Freely Fest takes place at Richland Library Main, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

  • A $45 fee provides a 4' table sapce and access to the festival on Saturday and Sunday.

    • $45 for an additional four feet of table space, providing one full eight-foot table
